Worship is that frame of mind and spirit that flows from an ardent love of and devotion to God. Worship has a strong emotional component. People who are not careful may foolishly focus their feelings for deity in the wrong direction. Even the most talented among us make bad judgments and decisions at times. God is God, and He alone is the source of righteous power. Even if their intentions are right, people who fall into the trap of directing the worship that belongs to God to a talented person or some Bible personality blur their own decision making and create spiritual confusion in their lives. They have become deluded and rejected the most vital component of success: faithfulness to God's instruction.
"Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper" (Psalm 1:1-3).
