About the Author of the Book Lasting Success
Author and speaker on the subjects of leadership and group dynamics, David Norris
explains the building blocks upon which quality decisions rest. He illustrates their
relevance to success so they can be remembered and used with confidence.
Lasting Success could not have come at a better time. It has "a so practical" outline
for problem-solving and prevention. Our traditional Judeo-Christian approach to life and public
policy presents a unified view of truth. The book emphasizes the unchanging principles which prevail
in spite of changing and difficult conditions. Freedom for the moral religions in America, which
secular militants disdain, is the benefit of that very Judeo-Christian theism.
David Norris is the recipient of the 2004 Man of the Year Award
from the Women for Constitutional Government. He is a graduate of
Iowa State College (now Iowa State University) and an Alpha Zeta
scholastic honoree. Three of his publications which deal with church
leadership can be downloaded without cost.
In 1968, he chaired the Grand Jury Study and Presentment on Problems in Higher Education
(11th Judicial District of Iowa) which dominated the news briefly in 1969. The conclusions of that
Presentment are in "The Citizens' Report" chapter. This is even more relevant today.
David Norris' speaking and crisis management activities have taken him throughout the nation.
He also headed up the Iowa school board elections study done in conjunction with the County Elections
Commissioners for the Iowa Legislature in 1981.
David's wife helped in the writing of the "Who's Who in the Home" and "Parent/Child Relationships"
chapters in the Bonus Book. They have three daughters and ten grandchildren.
Norris is the founder of two non-profit public service corporations. One is dedicated to community
involvement in education and constitutional government. Heartland Foundation, Inc. promotes studies helpful
to leadership and polity for family, church, and state. All three are detailed in Lasting Success.
As David Norris' physician for 35 years--"I have been a close observer
of his career and family. Attitude and health are interrelated.
In this volume [Lasting Success] he emphasizes the principles
that have led to a very successful and fruitful life. I highly recommend
the book to success-minded non-fiction readers." Lowell D. Bond,
